NEW DATE - Building a Local Industrial Strategy - Bristol

The What Works Centre for Local Economic Growth has been working with a number of local areas to understand the issues and challenges around building an effective local industrial strategy.

As more places follow the three 'trailblazer' areas this roundtable will be a chance to discuss, with representatives from Whitehall's Cities and Local Growth Unit, what the government expectation of the strategy is and what that means for different places.

It will also be a chance to explore in detail, with the Centre's Director Professor Henry Overman, our 10 principles to designing and delivering an effective local industrial strategy.

This is one of three events inviting local policymakers and practitioners to ask and pose questions as they begin to design their strategies. The others are in Leeds and Newcastle.
