How to use and produce evidence to inform policy - slides from our workshops

We have been working with New Economy Manchester on a series of workshops across the country to support local economic policy practitioners.

At these events, New Economy Manchester present the experience they have gained over 20 years of building evaluation into the policymaking process, and look at how different aspects of this could be applied in other parts of the country.

These slides were presented by John Holden, director of research at New Economy, and Richard Waggott, principal researcher at New Economy, examining the opportunities and challenges faced by local authorities in using and developing evidence to inform local economic policy, and running through New Economy’s Green Book-approved cost benefit analyses and how these methods can be used in other places.

If you would like to run a workshop of this kind in your area, email us.
